Twilla Ann Richards, 76, of East Avenue, Shinnston, passed away suddenly at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Shinnston, Nov. 27, 1936, a daughter of the late Clarence and Winnie Lamp Collins.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Richards; three sons, Rusty Richards, Shinnston, Tim Richards and his wife Lisa, Peora, Jamie Todd Richards and his companion Bridgett Sickles, Hilltop; 10 grandchildren, Alyssia Annon and her husband Nathan, Justin Richards, Terry Richards, Michael Ridenour, Matt Ridenour, Shaun Ridenour, Chasity Hinke, Ashley Lamp, Miranda Richards, Chanda Richards, Casi Don Richards, Ella Sickles and Jamie Todd Richards, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Donnie Richards; five brothers, Cyrus, Dennis, Lawrence, Clarence and Arnold Collins; and two sisters, Flora Holtzclaw and Freda Stagg.
Twilla worked as a secretary for Dorsey Funeral Home and loved camping with her husband at the their camp in the mountains. She was Methodist by faith.
Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from noon-8 p.m. Sunday, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating.
